You know you are getting older when you bend over to pick something up you ask yourself, "Why the hell did I even do that?".

Thank you so much for everything. Happy Birthday!

Remembering Amber

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

As a nurse, you get to meet people. Some of them you get a chance to change their life. Some of them change you. I didn't meet Amber in the hospital. I met her on the bus on my way home from Cebu City 2-3 years ago. Believe me, I vaguely remember anything. She sat on the aisle beside me. She was vomiting as she gets sea sick (motion sickness) easily like me. So I immediately offered my menthol candy hoping that it would help her ease being sick. That started our conversation. I had stepped down the bus and that was the last time I saw her.

150 days ago, as I return home from my night shift, a woman was waiting for me at home. She told me that her daughter wants to see me. I felt weird. I asked myself if I had done something wrong lately. Mischief don't fall short when I am around. So, I went to their house only to realize I was being summoned by someone who is on her deathbed.

Her mom helped me refresh my memory. She reminded me when and where I met Amber. She told me that on the day I met Amber was the day she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She said that I told Amber that my favorite song was Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader which still is my favorite song. Whenever Amber was feeling lonely and feeling the pangs of the disease she always ask her mom to play that song.

A few minutes after I saw Amber, she had left the other side. I was just standing there stunned and feelingless. I don't know how to react. I was out of words. I had a lot of questions.

I have realized that, I have done something good with my life. I have succeeded as a nurse. I have changed one life and that's all that matters.

The world wont be doomed if we are kind to one another. Even the simplest gesture of kindness could mean so much to someone. We only have one life. We have to serve a purpose and whatever it maybe we have to get ready for it. So that when it is time for you to go, you have a pretty good resume.

Now I have one angel in heaven watching over me. I miss you little Amber.

Life Goals

Saturday, August 22, 2015

Each of us should have goals. I don't care how big or small as long as there is something worth working for. Something to look forward to. Something we aspire.

My goal in life is to create a happy environment. The world is already fucked up, let's not make it messier than what it is.

What is your goal?

The Types of People You Will Find on Facebook.

Sunday, August 16, 2015

A lot of people think that they got their Facebook game too strong but let me tell you, it's too ratchet! It makes you wanna roll your eyes out. The things people do to get that one hundred facebook likes. So let me tell you the kinds of people you will see on Facebook. Just a fore warning! I am not hatin!

1. The Events Organizer- this is the person to go to when you want to know where's the best place to hang, the best party in town, where's the music festival and what it's all about. One thing though, he can't afford to go to those parties. He just post them on facebook to let people know that he is in the mix. #dirtyvibe

2. Filter Fellow- I have to be honest, this one had their selfie game too strong but the thing is the filter game just put them to shame. How many apps does your photo had to go through just for you to be satisfied? Then you post it like we won't notice. #nofiltershame

3. Faux Food Blogger- this one had all his shit together. What I mean by that is, he will save all his money just to go to that place and eat what everyone is eating because that's what everyone is eating. Well there is nothing wrong with that but then the thing is just don't take photos of what you were eating to the point where we almost see the price tag of that gourmet. Post that shit on facebook. Oh that elusive facebook like! #foodlikernotaBlogger

4. The Major Whiner- this is the one who always throw fits on facebook. Rants about almost anything. Wow! Talking about making your own personal diary. To me it feels like they are carrying the weight of the world by having all the problems anyone could possibly have. #rantsandraves

5. The Lurker- People call this stalking. The kind that doesn't post anything, doesn't like or comment on anything for months or even years but when you meet them in real life that person is very well updated with everyone's life. He just sit there in the couch minding everyone's business. #secretstalker

6. Facebook Congeniality- The one with over 4500 facebook friends or even had 2-4 facebook accounts for no reason. Hello there, creating new accounts doesn't make you pretty. #internetcelebrity

7. The Bible Boxers- the one who post anything that has a reference to God. Gospel verses prayers and all that stuff is in this account. #gospelgangsters

8. The News Master- Yep the name speaks for itself. I mean he seemed like your typical news anchor but on facebook. #dost #pagasa

9. The Gamer- Who wants to have game request? Nobody, so stop sending game invites already.

10. The Clock- The one who always greet someone. Time checks and put it on facebook. #thecocks

Mayora Diaries: Wary Homage

Saturday, August 15, 2015

This week's narrative is about being wary.  Sometimes we get tired of the usual. We get tired of things that we always see every day. It is normal. What we have to do is to get out of that element for a while. Loosen those tightened screws and do new things. There is always something new to do or see everyday. Just get out and rock it!

10 Year Strong

Wow, look how far we've come! I can't imagine living my life without this blog. Let me thank all the people who was there since day 1.

Because of this blog, I have gone to places I could only daydream about. I met amazing people. I have had opportunities to help myself grow. For that I will always be thankful.

Thank you so much!
