Final Goodbye

Thursday, August 31, 2017

The past month had been a rollercoaster ride for me. There were highs and extremely low moments. I just only have one life to live and I am living it the best way I know how.

As you could see, I always have my life in public by sharing everything that was going on with me here on the blog and on facebook. I think it has taken its toll on me and I got caught up with it.

I think it is about time to dial back with everything and reflect on what’s really important. I think it’s about time to enjoy life as it is. Not worrying about anything. Not minding if this is gonna look good on instagram and just taste every moment raw and unfiltered.

To all my readers thank you! I have 12 amazing years with you guys. This is it! This is goodbye!

Pantaland: the RE-UP

Saturday, April 15, 2017

What is Pantaland?
Pantaland is an ELECTRO MUSIC FESTIVAL  held annually in line with the Fiesta Activities of Bogo City.

Pantaland Music Festival aims to encourage and stimulate youth culture in a controlled environment. It also aims to give an avenue for Bogohanon aspiring dj’s to showcase their talents and play alongside Cebu’s Best Disc Jockeys. Pantaland plans to make this Festival a family event by creating activities most likely to be enjoyed by all members of the family. The Festival actively pursues to help entrepreneurs reach out to their consumers by providing an area for them to showcase their products.

How did the name come about?
The name from a very popular destination here in Bogo City called PANTALAN. My friends and I started to call it PANTALAND as a parody to TOMORROWLAND since we cant afford to go there. So we decided to create our own version of it. THUS PANTALAND!

10. O- you came to my life like a ray of sunshine. High School was beautiful because of you. The past year you made me realize that everything was just a game of pretends. I applaud you for keeping it strong. It lasted for 16 years. All those years didn't come to waste. You are now a beautiful lesson that I will always remember for the rest of my life. Thank you for the memories.

Open Letter to My 15 Year Old Self

Tuesday, January 03, 2017

Dear 15 year old self,

Today I am 30. I wanted to celebrate it by sending a letter to my 15 year old self, that's you. I think I have to start by telling you that it gets better in time. Every thing that you are going through wont matter anymore.

I know that you are worried about fitting in in high school. How can you fit a square into a triangle? Don't worry. That's just temporary. The people that ignores you will eventually ask for your attention. Everyone you meet are just there temporarily. The people you call your friends are not really your friends. Know what you bring to the table. Don't be afraid about eating alone.

Spend more time with Nonette and Blanche they are the people who is really there for you. The rest are just there because they need something from you. They are really good at faking it. They will manipulate you and eventually hurt you. Don't worry. Time will eventually expose their true self. Don't be scared to leave them. They are the reason why you have to build those walls higher than they are.

The person whom you thought was the love of your life will just disappoint you. You can't really turn a toad into a Prince Charming.

Because you are gay, people will always think that you are lesser than the person that you are. Don't let them shut you up. Don't let them destroy you. Run faster. It will only be over when you say it's over. Rule it.

Everything is better when it's not planned. You are not supposed to figure out everything yet. Just wing it. You'll make it!

With so much Love,

30 year old you😜

3 Easy Steps to Prevent Drug Addiction For Parents

Sunday, December 11, 2016

This topic is mainly from my personal experience and some are from things I found online. I will provide additional links below for you to be familiar with this topic.

In Re-Re we believe that parents play a vital role in preventing drug addiction for their children. They are the once who are with them 24/7.  So I have compiled these for them to know how to prevent drug addiction for their teens.

1. Know the dangers of using drugs. As a parent you have to educate yourself on the dangers of using drugs. By educating yourself you can also educate your children. Share what you know but not your prejudice. Always remember: Drugs destroy Health, Work and Relationships.
2. Know your children. You have to be aware of your children's whereabouts. You have to know who they hangout with.
3. You have to encourage your children to make positive decisions in life. You should also be aware of the choices they make.
4. Do not hesitate to ask for help. The Re-Re program is always ready to help you.

Most parents failed to do this. Parenting doesn't stop by providing more than enough on the table. You have to communicate to your children. Give them emotional security. Take opportunities to talk. Let them know how you feel about drugs but don't scare them. Be realistic. Say what you mean and mean what you say because the point you are trying to make is really what matters. Don't just talk, LISTEN TO THEM.

You have to create a safe environment for your children. You have to be involved. Be a Bogo City Drug Warrior. Be vigilant. Report suspicious behaviors. And cooperate with your neighbors.

Tim Kurt: The Vine Superstar

Wednesday, November 30, 2016

Here's another one from my hometown that I am a fan of. He is this vine superstar with a huge number of followers. As far as I know he was the first one who started this vines here and everyone suit to follow.

He is very funny even without trying. I also know for a fact that this kid could bust a move like his older sibling. I think he could put it down better than Fritz (sorry).

Charged up. And gives zero f*cks to the haters. That's how he roll. That's also why I love to watch him when he does his thing.

Bogo City's Rehabilitation Reintegration Program

Saturday, November 19, 2016

Rehabilitation Reintegration Program was created by the Bogo City Officials  headed by the Vice Mayor Maria Cielo Martinez. The program was formed to address the needs of those who are addicted to drugs and would like to get sober. It was formally launched last October 17, 2016.
Re-Re is a self help group for drug addicts. The term maybe confusing. In a nutshell, it is a group of individuals currently addicted to drugs wanting to be sober. The group is a source of guidance, assistance and encouragement for every individual. It is also a safe place to get support and discuss the challenges in a non-parental and non judgmental manner.

Re-Re Program is using a fellowship and a set of guided principles. The 12 steps to Sobriety adapted from Narcotics Anonymous. Re-Re is not only limited to one kind of drug but it is open to all types of drug addiction.

Re-Re is set to help an individual accept his addiction which is very crucial in their recovery. Since the program is very young. Every individual is encouraged to express their struggles while battling addiction. With the help of fellow drug addicts, they can explore ways on how to make amends with their past mistakes and doings. Together they learn how to live a new life, free from old unhealthy habits and ways of behaving. They are also asked to maintain every individual's privacy by not discussing anything to non- members of the fellowship. Confidentially is paramount to the group. After all feelings are checked, a drug testing is done. This is to validate sobriety.

Anyone who is willing to get clean and sober. Although we discouraged anyone who had drug addiction and another mental illness. However we can also help find a treatment suitable for them.

Boys from the Hood

Monday, November 14, 2016

I say yow, thats my boys from the hood. They are always there for me as I am always there for them. They always make me smile like a child on a rainy day.

I really love the fact that we always support each other do our own thing. No one is trying to damper on each other's sunshine.

When the boys talk girls and when we girls talk boys like no one is judging. We can just let each other hang our dirty linens out in the open.

When someone's trippin running their mouth like they know all the issues about the crew. They might just have to go packing coz we wont back down.

I like the fact that we could just be living big. Rolling out in town. Rockin it out VIP style in Cebu. Hanging out in the beach in Bantayan. We can be all that. Work hard party harder they say.
