The Rainbow Flag

Just today, I have experienced being put down, disregarded because I was gay. My opinion was silenced by someone who thought that I was harassing them when in fact I wasn't even attacking someone. I know I had those days where I bully someone but those are way behind me.

For a group that had the RAINBOW FLAG as a group Icon to do this to me had some explaining to do. Not to me, but their self. The rainbow flag symbolizes equality among people and mostly among gender. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and may it be hurtful to someone as long as it is honest and with good intention. Hurtful? Yes, because the truth hurts. REALITY hurts. And in reality, People had this CRAZY gay stereotype that we belong in the salon and that gays are promiscuous. (dili sa pag put down sa akong mga igsoon nga parlorista.) But some gays are better than straight people. That's why there is a saying that goes, "WE ALL WANT TO BE HAPPY AND GAY."

I just wanna question, why do you have to put the RAINBOW Flag as a group ICON when in reality the group doesn't practice equality. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion may it be right or wrong. PASAGDAE KAY IYAHA NANG KATONGOD. FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IS A DIVINE ANIMAL RIGHT.

I humbly ask the group admins, to take down that rainbow flag until you guys learn to appreciate EQUALITY.

My boyfriend collection have talked about "PHOTOGRAPHY" suddenly coming out of nowhere. Watermarking all pictures with a fancy name and putting Photography in the end. SMH. Yes, sometimes people tend to do what mainstream media dictates. KAY USO LAGE SA FACEBOOK AW SABAY NALANG SA USO.

I don't even know a thing about photography. I had to ask my friend and to explain to me in a nutshell what goes behind every picture. I know that there are a lot of things to consider when you are a real photographer because it is not just about POINT POSE and SHOOT.

I am not a photographer, I am a lousy blogger. I talk about what's happening around me and sometimes I post pictures to help me explain what is going on. Being a blogger doesn't mean that I can't identify good and bad pictures. I know ART coz I AM GAY.

Photography and modeling sometimes they go side by side.  Being a model you have to take control of your body to pose APPROPRIATELY. You have to consider your expected audience/clientele. If it requires you as a model to pose sexy/seductive, it doesn't mean you have to look trashy and cheap. CLASSY not TRASHY. You can be sexy even without showing all your skin. Showing your cleavage, wearing your PEKPEK short shorts, sticking your tongue out and putting your finger in your mouth would help you look like you need some spanking. TSK TSK TSK. MASUKO JUD SI TYRA BANKS NINYO. I remember Tyra saying that as a model, if you don't like what the photographer is asking you to do, YOU CAN ALWAYS SAY NO. So why don't you try posing in front of the mirror first.

Just because you own a high end camera doesn't make you a photographer. You have to master the craft. Until then don't label your pictures with PHOTOGRAPHY. Lately, a DSLR camera had became a STATUS SYMBOL. PALIT PALIT OG CAMERA nga NINDOT ARON INGNON KA AFFORD BA.

I know you are thinking that you have to watermark your pictures because people may copy your picture without your permission. I know, it happened to me, it happened to my friend, that's why, I sometimes watermark my name without the word "PHOTOGRAPHY" in the end.

The best photographers are always open to comments. May it be positive or negative. Positive comments tell  you what you have accomplished, what you know in the craft so far. Negative comments tell you what you have to know, what you need to know and what you need to improve. Negative comments are always the most honest comments. Positive comment could sometimes be BULLSH*T to feed your ego. PADAHOMON RA KA BA.

So if you want to be a photographer you might want to consider this before doing something drastic with your pictures.

New Beginnings

I had moments when people hurt me so bad and then on top of that, they just pretend like nothing ever happened. Like I never really came and walked into their lives. I know it's lame but this is what I'm feeling right now.

I always make it a point, no matter how busy my life gets, to make time for people that are very important to me. Is it wrong to care for someone so much that you lost yourself in the process? Does everything happened for a reason, or do we have reasons for everything that happened?

I am very disappointed with myself. Sometimes I just feel like I am a "SHRINK" and everyone who came to me is my "NUTCASE". Once they are back on track again, they just  leave me with no apparent reason. It's always like this. Same case over and over again. Maybe because I trust people so quickly. I am so quick to label them as "MY FRIENDS" when in fact I barely even know them.

I know everything happens for a reason, people come and go. I am just happy that there are those people who came into my life, never said anything, no false promises and yet they never left me. They never give up on my no matter what bullshit I have. And I've been counting them, I just happen to have 15.

So I'm putting my walls back up. Bringing back my reigns of control. Taking my life back to where it was before. Bringing my B*tch face back. The next time someone came in to me. I wont be easy!.

Cleaning up my Closet

As I was cleaning my closet today I found my old high school yearbook, I opened it and walked through memory lane. As I scan the pages, 2 pieces of paper fell on the floor. One was my letter to my mother which I never had the courage to give to her. It was written probably 7 years ago, my freshmen year in college.

Dear Mama, 

Let me start by saying I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I didn't turn out to be exactly the way you want me to be. I'm sorry if I failed your expectations. 

I tried but I feel like I don't belong. I tried to fit in but I only turned out to be a misfit. I'm Bad.

I had a rough year and thank you for not giving up on me.

You know how things are in college. When things get boring in class. I used to scribble on my notebook or any piece of paper that I could get to hold. This is one of those scribbles. I don't know how and I don't know when she wrote her reply. What bugles me is how did she know about my letter. My yearbook was just sitting in my closet since the day I got it. NAKAKAHIYA NA!!!But still.. I LOVE YOU MOM!!!

Congratulations Graduates of 2013

It's time to of year again when people bid goodbye to High School or College, I was just wondering if it's just me or does everybody felt that when we are still in school we couldn't wait to graduate, but when we have graduated all we wanna do is go back to school. Kids believe me, it's a trap. All you think of when you graduate is your job, bills, your responsibilities and more bills.

School is a road with lots of twist and turns, not to mention a whole lot of love drama. This is the part of our lives where we learn who we are and know what we wanna be. The time where we experiment to know our limits. Slowly but surely, we take that road to maturity. Sometimes we take on life not knowing, not really sure of everything because in the end of this chapter we all go out with that thought that we knew, and we are ready to take on the world.

I used to remember this, "WAY CLASS UNYANG HAPON KAY MAG MISA". and those words would bring smile to our faces. Funny how when we graduate and when school is out forever that would bring tears to our eyes.

All that words would lead to me, wishing everyone the best of everything... WAY TO GO GRADUATES OF 2013.

For the past few days I've been dreaming of Flip Flops, cold drinks, lemonade, warm sand slipping through my toes, sunshine on my skin and shorts, Board shorts. It's been like this. Dreaming. I've been waiting to hit the beach. So on impulse, we went there last Sunday. What better way to start my summer and make my dream come true than to go to HAGNAYA BEACH RESORT AND RESTAURANT.
